Classical guitar lessons
It was Beethoven who said, “The guitar is a miniature orchestra in itself.”. This was years before the consolidation of the instrument due to the work of artists like Francisco Tarrega or Andres Segovia later on. Having heard what the guitar has achieved over the last centuries, Beethoven would have been even more impressed.
If you want to be the one running this little “orchestra,” don’t delay it too much, as you will be mesmerised by the beauty of the instrument and the process of learning how to play it.
We use different approaches depending on the background of the students. For some, it is practical to follow grades (ABRSM or Trinity), while others benefit from a more bespoke approach. Once you book your first lesson, we will decide what is the best way for you to learn. If you are a complete beginner, that is fine, as we will be able to provide all the resources that you need to get started. The Spanish guitar is a great option for first-timers, as the nylon strings are easier on the fingers than the steel ones. Advanced players looking to learn more specific pieces or trying to improve their overall technique are very encouraged to have lessons, as they will see their playing taken to a different level. Many of our students come from this particular background, and they feel super grateful to see significant improvement after coming to a standstill.
